I am really looking forward to our wonderful Maldives trip in November, which we booked by Sabine Beyer through her Maldives travel agency, called Stop over Travel. And we are amazed by her magic of planing an unforgettable trip for us…
Sabine Beyer is the absolute specialist and she finds the most amazing island for you, which fits the best to your preferences.
I have never been to the Maldives before and I am full of gratitude and happiness for our upcoming adventure in paradise under the palm trees
Let’s get ready for a little insight into paradise….
I was allowed to ask Mrs. Beyer 7 questions….
Sabine Beyer / Maldives expert and founder of Stop Over Reisen
1.) How would you describe a vacation in the Maldives in 5 words?
Unforgettable
Lifetime experience
Simply the best
Salvation
God's masterpiece
2.) What should you know before you travel to the Maldives for the first time?
The Maldives has the 1 island = 1 hotel concept. You can't do much shopping or sightseeing.
Don't bring shoes but lots of sunscreen.
The right island is super important - otherwise you spend a lot of money for possibly nothing nice.
Take maximum 1 book with you...you don't read it anyway.
3.) How did you get the idea to specialize in the Maldives?
I went to the Maldives in 1982 for a honeymoon, at that time it was still a country with a white dot on the world map.
Just a Few traveled there, the journey had connecting flights via Sri Lanka.
I fell in love with the Maldives and was crying at the airport on the day of departure...that's where it all came from.
4.) What were your 3 biggest highlights in the Maldives so far?
Oh that's way more than three highlights.
For me it is already a highlight when landing in the early morning to see the islands lying like diamonds below me in the Indian Ocean.
Also exploring new hotels and meeting my many great friends in the Maldives.
Swinging in a hammock and walking barefoot is always a huge enjoyment for me.
Landing in Paradise
5.)Do you recommend island hopping and how many nights should you stay at least on the same island?
We recommend this only very specifically with certain islands, otherwise it can be very exhausting and time consuming.
It should be a vacation and relaxation in the Maldives and not a ,, rumreiserei,,.
Often you compare the first island with the second island and then you are no longer satisfied - here it needs a lot of clarification before booking.
6.) What should you have done in the Maldives, if it is the first time, activities or program?
Barefoot running, enjoy sunset, a Lomi Lomi massage, snorkeling and a parasailing😉
