Exploring Argentina- La Tarde Polo Club

In 2018 we flew to Argentina over Christmas.

After our 13-hour flight, we were then picked up by my half-sister in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.

Then we drove about an hour to the countryside to their polo club , the best place in Argentina to play polo. The atmosphere there was amazing and we saw unforgettable sunrises and sunsets during our stay.

When we arrived at La Tarde Polo Club, they where showing us around, because it was the first time for my brother and me in Argentina.

The first thing I wanted to see was poncho, the lama, which I only knew from photos before. It was incredibly cute, I made a few polaroids selfies with her for my memories.Their polo fields go over the horizon…

Afterwards we got welcomed with a traditional Asado, its the Argentinian way of having a barbecue.

The second evening we spend the evening in Mercedes, the nearest town from the Club, where we had a cozy dinner, but to be honest I fall asleep before my order came… I was so jet lagged. My brother was not mad about having my food as well :-)

On Christmas day, we enjoyed spending some time in Buenos Aires during the day.The city was very vibrant, full of energy and had interesting architecture and was full of colors. We also had a look into the Alvear Palace Hotel, where they had a beautiful Christmas tree in the lobby.

We also visited a famous cemetery in Buenos Aires and a favela from the outside.

In the late afternoon we drove back to La Tarde, when we arrived we made ourselves ready for the evening. Its Christmas time !!

Usually we always celebrated Christmas in the snow, but this felt also very special, to celebrate in the heat .We had a lovely evening around the Christmas tree…

Christmas in sunny Argentina

One day Helena showed us a traditional Shop, where you can get the best equipment for Polo.I got a wonderful colorful belt, as a present.

POLO HORSES RIDING

On our last day we went for a ride.it was a wonderful experience.the polo horses are so easy to handle,it's like steering and they were insanely well behaved. This was my first horseback ride in my life, which I will never forget anymore.
