Dry Brushing
Dry brushing is a very hyped skincare and wellness trend. It is often promoted as a way to improve skin health and overall well-being.I really like dry brushing because I always have a great nourished skin feeling afterwards and I really notice how it promotes my blood circulation.
Technique:
Start at your feet and work your way upward, always brushing toward your heart. Use gentle, circular motions, and be cautious not to scrub too hard.Brush each area several times. After dry brushing, take a shower to remove the death skin cells and toxins from your body. And last but not least, don’t forget to use a rich moisturizer, to hydrate your skin.
Benefits:
Exfoliation: Dry brushing helps remove dead skin cells, which can leave your skin feeling softer and smoother.
Improved Circulation: The massaging action may stimulate blood circulation.
Lymphatic Support: Some proponents suggest that dry brushing can aid in lymphatic drainage, potentially helping the body remove waste and toxins.
Cellulite Reduction: There are anecdotal reports that dry brushing can reduce the appearance of cellulite, although scientific evidence is lacking.
Stress Reduction: Many people find dry brushing to be a relaxing self-care ritual.
I usually do it once or twice a week. The brush I can highly recommend is from Dr.Barbara Sturm, its the one I always use.Its available in two bristle strengths: soft and medium. I use medium, but as a beginner I recommend soft, otherwise it can lead to skin irritations at the beginning.
