Gleaming gem of the desert: Dubai

Welcome to the gleaming gem of the desert, a city of luxury and innovation. Dubai, a city that defies the boundaries of possibility.A skyline punctuated by architectural masterpieces that reach towards the heavens. From the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest structure in the world, to the enchanting Palm Jumeirah, an archipelago shaped like a palm tree. The first time I’ve been to Dubai, with my parents was at the age of 3. Since then I was there 2 more times, 2018 and last year in febraur. No matter at which age, we spend our vacation there, it was always fantastic and so many things to do and experience. It never gets boring… for example, since last year February, they have released many new attractions, like the Ain weal or the Royal Atlantis Hotel.

It is extraordinary how future-oriented this city is and always has new ideas and implements them in record speed. I love this city so much !!

Lets dive with me, into the orient and the beautiful crazy world of Dubai.

Aquaventure Waterpark
Thats definitely one of my favorite places in Dubai, its located in the Atlantis Hotel. Its the world biggest waterpark, if you are an adrenalin junkie, its perfect for you, there are over 105 record-breaking slides to choose from. And no worries, if you prefer the more relaxed attractions, you can.My personal highlight are the dolphin experiences, its magical to spend time with those animals. It has always been very special & unforgettable for me. There a three different options to choose from, meet in great with dolphins, or swimming or you can even dive with them.
I would definitely recommend spending an entire day in this water paradise, guaranteed fun for the whole family.

Trip to the dessert
This was definitely one of the most magical and unforgettable experiences I have had in my life so far. We booked our adventure at Platinum Heritage and we couldn’t have chosen it better.
They organized the most special afternoon and evening for us in the desert of Dubai.
Highly recommend, when thinking about doing a safari in the UAE. Late in the night we fell asleep tired and full of gratitude, with many memories of a falkehsow at sunset, camel riding and a desert tour in the impressive surrounding.
I have written an extra blog post about this unbelievable day.

Heli flight
My first helicopter flight I have experienced over Dubai, when I was 3, unlikely I fall asleep after the first 4 minutes, but it can be excused since I was still so small. My parents were taking a lot of pictures and videos and what I have seen, it was a great experience. Of course, its something very special and nothing you do every other day, but when you have the opportunity, I would take the chance and do it.

Expo 2020
It was a world-renowned international exhibition that showcased the best of human innovation, creativity, and progress. It was a global gathering where countries from around the world came together to share their ideas, innovations, and solutions. My favorite pavilions were UAE, Qatar and Thailand. We couldn’t enter the German one, because there was a long line, with a long waiting time. Unfortunately it isn’t open any more, we were very lucky that we still had the chance to see the exhibition before it ended a couple of months later.

The future Museum
Its already more than spectacular from outside, its a piece of art.
This type of museum would likely explore technologies such as artificial intelligence, sustainable energy solutions, space exploration, biotechnology, and more. It could feature interactive exhibits, immersive experiences, and thought-provoking displays that allow visitors to engage with and understand the potential impact of emerging technologies on our lives and the world. How interesting ? We really wanted to go in and dive into the future… but they were fully booked for the next 6 weeks. They just have opened a few days before our arrival. The entrance wall was already breathtaking and so much future in just one room, so that I could only imagine how amazing and inspiring it needs to be in the showrooms behind it. My parents got them self a coffee from the robot, and it was surprisingly good, even for someone like me, who usually never drinks coffee. It was a whole experience to watch the progress. A few months later, my parents went to Dubai again, and there absolutely amazed by their visit of the museum.
Thats why its definitely on my bucket list for the next Dubai trip.

The frame
Resembling an enormous golden picture frame, the Dubai Frame rises to a height of approximately 150 meters and spans 93 meters in width. Its unique design offers visitors a captivating experience. The frame is positioned in such a way that, when you stand in front of it, one side perfectly frames the modern skyline of Dubai, while the other side frames the historic areas of the city. The Dubai Frame is a remarkable architectural marvel that stands as a symbol of Dubai's rich history and its visionary future. Located in the heart of the city. Inside the Dubai Frame, there's also a museum that takes you on a journey through the city's history, offering insights into its transformation from a modest fishing village to the cosmopolitan city it is today. You shouldn’t be afraid of heights, when you’re planing a visit, because up at the viewing platform, the floor is partly made of glass.

Traditional souk
One of the most captivating aspects of a souk is its bustling atmosphere and the lively interactions between vendors and shoppers. We experienced the sights, sounds, and scents of the market as they navigated us through. As a little souvenir we’ve bought a small golden camel.

Burj Khalifa
Of course one of the Dubai classics is the Burj khalifa, its famous as it is the highest building in the world. There are two different observation platforms, where you can enjoy the beautiful view over Dubai. I would highly suggest to come in the late afternoon, early evening, so you can enjoy the amazing water fountain show at 6:30 and the arabic sun set over the city.
Its located directly to the Dubai Mall, so you could combine them.

Dubai mall
Where Dreams and Shopping Converge - when you enjoy shopping, than you find your paradise in the biggest shopping mall in the whole world. They even have an impressive and gigantic aquarium in the middle of the building. With its huge selection you can quickly lose the overview, which has happened to us serval of times Thats why they have developed their own app for your personal shopping experience. They have everything you could dream of, for example a own level just for shoes or the newest gadgets and tech stuff. They have it all !!

Ain Observation Wheel
The Ain Dubai experience is more than just a ride on an observation wheel; it's an immersive journey that blends technology and entertainment. It has an impressive height of about 250 meters, the Ain Dubai offers breathtaking panoramic views of Dubai's skyline, the Arabian Gulf, and the surrounding islands. The observation cabins, are spacious and equipped with large glass windows, allowing visitors to take in the city's landmarks from a new perspective.

La Perle Dubai
"La Perle" is a one-of-a-kind live entertainment show in Dubai. The show takes place in a custom-built theater. You can see unique fusion of artistic disciplines, incorporating elements of dance, acrobatics, aerial stunts, and water effects. The show's stage features a large pool that can be transformed into different depths, allowing for stunning water-based performances.

Skydive Dubai
I would just like to say in advance that we have not done this, but for any adrenaline junkie certainly an unforgettable life experience It's famous for offering a thrilling and unforgettable view of the most stunning landscapes in the world. You have the chance to jump out of an aircraft from thousands of feet above the ground and experience the sensation of freefall before deploying their parachute and gliding gently back to the Earth.

The Burj Al Arab is known for its iconic sail-like structure and its reputation as one of the most luxurious hotels in the world, where they offer this special dinning experience.

A Peruvian restaurant known for its ceviches, grills, and lively atmosphere.I felt very inspired by the beautiful interior inspired from South Amerika.
