With five sublime restaurants this is a resort for food lovers. Exceptional menus demonstrate a passion for local, seasonal and fresh ingredients with a creative twist.Dine on tapas-style pan-Asian cuisine in the overwater Tapasake, or head to the waterfront La Terrasse, an al fresco restaurant offering traditional Mauritian cuisine and global classics.Prime is a renowned steakhouse serving Australian organic beef alongside Mauritian seafood, La Pointe dishes up barbecue-style catch of the day with rum cocktails, and L’Artisan is perfect for a casual lunch. The breakfast selection was just incredible, they had something for everyone, from vegan to gluten-free and wonderful selection of fresh exotic fruits….

Let`s summarize my previous favorites things to do and explore on Mauritus.
Sunrise Dolphin Swimming
My alarm was ringing at 3:30 in the morning, or should I better say night, but what happened in the following was more than worth it !! I had booked this tour with Vitamin Sea and I can highly recommend them for creating a unique experience according to your wishes. After the arrival at the harbor, I was more than ready and curious about what's going to happen.First I watched the dolphins swimming and jumping around .. this was already a dream came true! I love dolphins, they are special in every way. After observation, I jumped into the Indian Ocean full of excitement and adrenaline and had the best morning. They came unbelievable close to me and were very interested and friendly.I was enjoying every single second to the fullest.
What a gift!! Once in a lifetime experience, swimming with almost hundred dolphins while the sun is rising.

Boat cruise
I highly recommend booking a boat trip, where you can explore the island from the water. This views are fantastic, so don’t forget to bring your camera with you.We have booked this special experience with Vitamin Sea and that was the best decision.Addition to that, we went snorkeling at a beautiful coral reef, where we were able to see many colorful fishes and marine life. After having the best time in the crystal clear water, we made a stop on the way back at the famous Crytsal rock.

Whale watching
Are you ready to watch these magnificent creatures of the ocean in their natural habitat?
In Mauritius, there are usually two different species of whales : sperm whales that reside year-round and live far away at sea. And humpback whales, which only migrate to our shores from May to September. After watching, are you thrilled to jump in and join them for a swim in the deep sea?

Going for a hike at le Morne
Le Morne Brabant is one of the most iconic hikes on the island with spectacular views of southwestern corner of the island. The trail to the minor summit is very easy to follow and well worn.It takes around 2 1/2 hours to reach the top…What a special place to see the sun rising!
Back River National Parc
Its one of the biggest national parcs existing on the island and even more important is to know, thats definitely one of the most beautiful nature sceneries you can experience.
We loved the jungle feeling all over !!
We could see beautiful birds
Chamarel Waterfall
This place is a must, when visiting Mauritius.
We were amazed by the gigantic waterfall, the longest on the island.

Coloured Earth
The seven colored earth is a natural phenomenon . These colors envolved through conversion of basaltic lava to clay minerals. It is a relatively small area of sand dunesd of seven distinct colours (red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow). There are spectacular views of luxuriant tropical vegetation and contemplate the different shades that are offered to you.

Guided Tour
We loved our guided tour to discover amazing places on the island and for learning a lot about the natives, the culture and about Mauritius by itself.
Our guide picked us up at 9am from the hotel and showed us a old vulcano crater, temples, the colored earth, giant turtlers, great view points and last but not least the spectacular waterfall.
I highly recommend for booking tour, for getting more insights of the wonderful place.
Enjoying the view points
Port Louis
The capital of Mauritius, is a vibrant town.Visit the colourful market, stroll through the streets, visit historical and cultural sites. The waterfront is one of the most popular places to visit in Port Louis.
There you find the famous umbrella-covered promenade which changes colors every now and then, they provide shade as well as a fun photo backdrop.

Bois Cheri Tea Gardens and Factory
It is the biggest and oldest tea plantation in Mauritius.A visit there takes you through a sensory journey of how the tea leaves are picked to how they’re dried and packed.
Irrespective of whether you’re a tea or coffee person, the Boris Cheri Tea Gardens will entice you!
My grandma who prefers her morning coffee, rather than a tea, was fascinated by the tea plantation.

Helicopter tour
Mauritius is world-famous for its breathtaking coast, with its crystal clear turquoise lagoons and shimmering white beaches. And not to forget about the famous icon of the island, the underwater fall. It’s the flow of underwater currents that create the dramatic image.
And there is no better way to appreciate all this beauty than from the air. When you have the possibility of catching a very sunny day, then book yourself a helicopter tour. The jaw,-dropping panoramas are indescribable. When you’re lucky, you can enjoy the view as well from the plane.
